Book the next visit while the gel cures

Her hand goes under the lamp, and you have a minute with nothing to do. Use it to say the next visit out loud: Slotty turns it into a booking and a note on her shade, you look it over, and her reminder goes out on its own.

Sound familiar?

  • Which shade was it?

“Like last time,” she says. Last time was six weeks ago, and the photo is lost among two thousand nail pictures in your gallery.

  • Three places to check before saying yes

A regular asks about Tuesday afternoon. To answer, you look through the chat, the notebook and the calendar on your phone — and she waits.

  • Reminders typed by hand

Every evening you text tomorrow’s clients one by one, then check who replied. Skip one, and she is the one who forgets.

What Slotty takes off your hands

  • Booked while the lamp is on

A curing lamp gives you a minute with the brush set down. That is long enough to tell Slotty about the client’s next visit and glance over what it made of it.

  • The shade she always asks for

“Shade 412, short almond” — a few words in a note instead of a hunt through your gallery. When she says “like last time”, you already know what last time was.

  • See what still fits

Forty-five free minutes after lunch is a brow shaping, not a gel manicure — and the day view shows those forty-five minutes the moment you open it.

  • Your evenings back from reminders

Slotty sends tomorrow’s reminders itself, and each confirmation shows up against the booking. The list you used to text through every evening is no longer your job.

  • This year, in numbers

Open the report for this year: how many visits there have been, what came in, and a file for your accountant if they ask for one.

One sentence, and what it becomes

“Iryna on Thursday at three, gel polish. And a note for the visit: shade 412, short almond, same as last time.”

  • Booking: Iryna, Thursday 3–4:30 pm, gel polish manicure
  • Note on the visit: shade 412, short almond
  • Wednesday: a reminder goes out to Iryna

Questions and answers

Do I have to pay to start?

No. You sign up without a card and start with whoever is in your chair this week; the notes on each regular fill in as she comes back for her next set.

What does a client need to get her reminder?

Nothing new. What she gets is an ordinary message about her visit, and she confirms it right there — nothing to download.

I share a studio with other artists. Can we all work in one Slotty?

No. One Slotty belongs to one specialist and that specialist’s clients. Each of you can run a Slotty of your own, but there is no shared salon schedule.

Can I give clients a link to pick a time themselves?

No, Slotty has no self-booking page. The booking always comes from you — often a single sentence while the lamp is on — and all that is left for the client is a tap on the message to say yes.

Can Slotty remember a client’s shade?

Yes. Keep it in her note, and when she switches to something new, add a line rather than replacing the old one — so you can tell her what she wore in spring as well as now.

I do both nails and brows. Can they share one day?

Yes. Nails and brows sit side by side in one day, each at its own length, so a quick brow shaping can go in right after a long gel manicure without you working out the minutes.
